Italian entrepreneur, founder and CEO of balsamiq shares his experience in creating a new company and learning about business at the Business School of Software.
One thing they don’t tell you about quitting your job to become a startup CEO is how much you’re going to worry about things. From “Should I really quit my cushy job?” and “What if someone steals my idea?” to “How can I keep a global team working as a unit?” and “How long before people notice that I really don’t know what I’m doing?” - the list is long and ever-changing. I’ll share some stories and tricks that I’ve used to overcome my fears, and how I’ve learned to welcome these feelings as a sign of imminent personal growth.

Comment by Massimo Arrigoni on September 20, 2011 at 1:12am Oh man, I was about to go to sleep and then I ran into this. I said... "All right, I'll watch 5 minutes and then shut down." Couldn't turn it off. Peldi delivers tons of down to earth, precious advice for all software (but maybe not only) start-uppers... and entrepreneurs that have been at it for several years too (that's me)!
Thanks Peldi! I knew you were a great guy just by seeing the wonderful work you've done with Balsamiq. This just confirms it. Lost an hour of sleep. Gained a lot of entrepreneurial wisdom.
Now off to recommending it to a bunch of people.
