Aqueducts built during the Roman Empire represented an engineering marvel and a highly advanced system to capture, store, transport, and distribute potable water to urban Rome and to the whole Empire, for uses ranging from agriculture to the famous Thermae.
Today's world faces clean water challenges in both the developed and developing worlds: economic growth, disease control, agricultural production, and even geopolitical stability are dependent upon reliable access to water.
On January 28, Business Association Italy America (BAIA) invites you to SRI in Menlo Park, CA to hear how technology experts, the venture community, utilities, and entrepreneurs define the water problem and are vying for innovative solutions.
Panel:
- Tamin Pechet, Catamount Ventures
- G.G. Pique, CEO, Energy Recovery, Inc.
- Dana Haasz, San Francisco Public Utilities Commission
- Alex Beavers, SRI International
- Barbara Heydorn, SRI International (moderator)
