About Me:
Guidewire Group is a global market intelligence and advisory firm passionate about technology entrepreneurship. Our exclusive focus on early-stage companies and emerging technology markets drives insight and opportunity to our clients and community.

At the heart of our offerings is the G/Score™, a proprietary assessment tool that brings clarity and focus to the art of transforming ideas into successful enterprises. Developed by Chris Shipley and Guidewire Group’s analyst team over the course of more than 20,000 startup interviews and 20 years, the G/Score™ has proven a reliable predictor of start-up viability and promise.

As executive producer of the DEMO conferences, Shipley leveraged the methodology underlying the G/Score™ to identify market leading companies and products like BitGravity, Jajah, Java, Palm, Salesforce.com, Tivo, eTrade and VMware for their initial commercial launch. In the last five years, the approximately 350 companies selected by Guidewire Group as the most promising new startups have garnered more than $3.5B in venture funding, 140 exits and billions of media impressions.

Our G/Score™ data helps technology investors, customers and platform vendors rapidly qualify and respond to deal flow from thousands of startups. In addition, our assessment tools are widely used to identify and benchmark startups’ competitive strengths and weaknesses, and our Studio G business acceleration programs help startups achieve their growth objectives with clarity of purpose, speed and efficiency.

Mike Sigal brings to Guidewire Group a 20-year record of building innovative technology-based businesses for existing and emerging global companies. Previously, he ran a strategic advisory and interim management consulting firm, with clients such as the Daily Mail General Trust, Fresher Information Corp, IDG, Office Depot, Pacific Bell, Philips Electronics, Synoptics and the U.S. Postal Service.

He has lived and worked in Europe, providing marketing and business development services to technology companies as they developed their trans-Atlantic strategies. As director of DASAR, producer of the annual European Technology Roundtable Exposition (ETRE) conferences, Mike built communities which fostered relationships among technology industry executives and investors.

An entrepreneur at heart, Mike has founded a number of technology ventures, including FM Waves and WiFinder. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley.

Ciao,

Grazie mille. Andrea (andreacrapanzano@gmail.com)

Hello,

I hope not to botte you. I'm an Italian 32 years psychotherapist with several years of clinical experience in private and public sectors. I took a 6 months break here in SF to improve my English, attend some courses at UCSF and evaluate the possibility to stay here and change job. I am writing to ask for advice, suggestions and help of all kinds to see if I can achieve this goal. Thank you. Andrea (andreacrapanzano@gmail.com)
