About Me:

Dr. Elena Murelli graduated in Economics and Commerce at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Piacenza in March 1999. Her dissertation was entitled "Internet in developing countries" and discussed the results of Internet research showing the possible applications of this new technology in education, health, agriculture and industry in developing countries. She subsequently won the 2nd prize for the "Best degree thesis 2000" offered by the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato, Federazione Stampa Italiana and CRUI in November 2000. Her book about this important principle has been published by the Commonwealth in 2003.
In December 1999 she joined CRATOS at the Università Cattolica at Piacenza as Research Assistant. In February 2000 she taught General Informatics on the 'Scienza della Formazione' undergraduate degree course at the Università Cattolica at Piacenza.
She followed the 1st edition of the Master of MiNE Program as a student and also as a Teaching Assistant. As part of the course requirements, she did her internship at KPMG, Milan, where she worked on a project studying an e-learning solution for companies.
Since 2001, she teaches "General Informatics" at the School of Economics, Universita' Cattolica del Sacro Cuore at Cremona campus.

From 2001-2004 she was E-learning Research Project Manager on projects financed by European Commission (MOBILEARN, eHL, ECML, eHL-HIC, EURINDIA, POLYMNIA) or by Italian National Bodies (KAMER) at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Italy). She has been member of the Program Committee for the MLEARN 2004 and the IADIS Mobile Learning 2005 and 2006 Conferences, IST Mobile Summit 2006 and 2007.
Since 2004 is an “Fundraising and Business Development Consultant”. Her services are:
• Proposal creation and project management (from the pre-proposal phase to the signature of the contract with the funding institutions – e.g. European Commission; Ministry; Worldbank; Unido, etc);
• Accounting and project Management (management of financial resources, planning of human and financial resources, accounting, management of relationship with partner and with the funding institutions, administrative reporting, creation of the project management handbook and administrative procedures);
• Development of feasibility study for investment projects or marketing project with market analysis and business plan;
• Lecturer for training course on European projects management;
• Dissemination: organization of events, participation to conferences, paper submission, creation of leale and brochure
