Thank you for posting this Mary... I saw the Last Emperor film which was also amazing, and was fortunate in 1996(!) to see about 20 red Valentino gowns on mannequins just before the statue of David for a Bienalle exhibit in Florence that was beyond creative!

What a great project and terrific legacy to the history of an entire industry.

Anybody starting up anything should listen to Giancarlo Giacometti's interview "The Other Half", to understand where the energy, the creativity and the fantasy to do something radically new comes from.
The museum's virtual reality effect is pleasant, the clothing display is unparalleled, the testimonials and emotions evoked remind the ones of the triumphant "Valentino: The Last Emperor" 2008 movie.

Valentino is indeed a veritable icon of Design.
