Helo everyone,

I'm Marco from Italy. I'm Business Manager of 93 Steps studio, an audio company that produce soundtracks, sound effects and more.

We'll attend on late March two fairs in San Francisco:

I really have a chaos in my mind about Visa/Esta to require to come in the US. I just finished reading lots of stuff in the USA website, but I continue to not to be sure about this thing.

Is an ESTA enough or do I need to require a B-1 Visa, for a 7-10 days trip just to attend these fairs?

Thanks a lot in advance for your help!

According to the the Visa Waiver Program (VWP), a program of the United States Government which allows citizens of specific countries (including Italy) to travel to the United States for tourism or business for up to 90 days without having to obtain a visa, you have only to fulfill certain requirements for the visa waiver program to be in effect.

The Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) is one of the above linked requirements for all incoming passengers who intend to take advantage of the Visa Waiver Program, and it requires to complete the I-94W online form at least 72 hours (3 days) before departure to the United States.

ESTA fulfillment is not a guarantee of admissibility to the United States at a port of entry: it only authorizes a traveler to board a carrier for travel to the U.S. under the VWP.

In all cases, CBP officers make admissibility determinations at US ports of entry. (For additional information, please visit “Know Before You Go” at
