Hello Andrea,

I'm a graduate student at Sapienza U and I would be really interested in applying

for this position. I have just some questions:

- Is one year of experience really enough to apply for a lead position?

- Is the selection process similar to the classical interviews for full time positions?
- [OT] In your opinion, would it be better applying for an intern?

Thank you,

Antonio

Hi Antonio,

This is a full time position, please read more details about the hiring process at Google here: http://www.google.com/intl/en/jobs/joininggoogle/hiringprocess/inde...

The section "minimum qualifications" gives a minimum reference to candidates. An outstanding developer with deep understanding of technology can and should lead technical decisions within a team, even if junior. So, to strictly answer your question: yes - one year of work experience can be enough to apply.

Please consider that more experienced professionals are welcome to apply, as well as candidates who can speak to relevant work experience during school years. In short, we will consider a wide range of profiles, select the candidate with best potential, and appropriately tweak initial scope and expected performance.

As to your last question, I cannot answer, the decision about which position you should apply to is for you to make!

Feel free to contact me at [asiciliano at google.com] if you have additional questions.

Best,
Andrea
