Researchers were the stars of the night in Torino's Piazza Castello, as part of a series of events that highlights the coolness of research across Europe. Four hundred researchers and graduate students have participated in this effort in more than 300 cities throughout Europe and 44 in Italy. From "gelato with azoto and Nutella" to the observation of cosmis particles, kids and adults got a taste of what it means to be a researcher and learned first hand about some of the experiments researchers at the Torino Politecnico and other leading science organizations work with on a daily basis.
Hop to Silicon Valley and prepare to be similarly amazed! The San Francisco Bay Area Science Festival will take place Oct. 29-Nov. 6 across the Bay Area, with hundreds of science activities intended to inspire youth to engage in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) studies and careers. Plan to attend a variety of engaging, hands-on events that will immerse you in the wonders of scientific research!
