NoiseFromAmerika is a blog written by a group of Italian economists living and working in the United States.
Most of the authors hold a PhD in Economics and are (or have been) part of the Department of Economics of an American university. With the expertise derived from their studies, and often with the rigorous methodology of people used to write very precise research papers (and in general to do things well...), they regularly analyze the Italian situation and dissect any new comment or policy proposal.
Even though it is not always easy to follow their thoughts, or to appreciate the depth of their analysis, I find this blog a very useful resource, particularly given the complexities arisen during the last few months. It is also refreshing to see every statement being carefully proofed and documented, and not just published (or shouted in TV) as the truth because-I-say-so.
Finally, note that the blog is in Italian and may not be an easy read if Italian is not your first language. On the other hand, it is very well written, and could be a perfect opportunity to learn plenty of very specific technical terms...
Let me know if you like it!
