On the occasion of his SF debut, Vinicio Capossela will appear at the Italian Cultural Institute for a conversation about his innovative and eclectic artistic genre, offering interesting points of discussion on art and music.
About the artist:
Italian singer-songwriter Vinicio Capossela has made a name for himself as an eclectic artist in recent years. He made his debut in 1990 with his first album “All’una e trentacinque circa”. Since then he has recorded 10 albums and written two books (Non si muore tutte le mattine and In Clandestinita’).
Vinicio Capossela’s music is ironic and sentimental, recalling the blues of Tom Waits, Paolo Conte’s “chanson”, and influences from the Balkans and Southern Italy. His concerts are known for offering up performances that evoke the theater of Bertolt Brecht, surrealism, and circus pantomimes.
