(‘the daughter of Turan’
In preparation for our magnificent Gala night of September 9th, please join us for an educational and fun evening about opera. Composer, performer, and musicologist Luciano Chessa will introduce us to the world of Puccini and his orchestral configurations and timbres to dramatic moments. An opera in three acts, Turandot was unfinished at the time of Puccini's death and was later completed by Franco Alfano. The first performance was held at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan 1926 and included only Puccini's music.
The evening will offer us many opportunities to meet the staff of the Italian Institute of Culture and the Italian Language School . We will learn about their amazing programs and Italian classes, while delighting our palates with food and wine.
Drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be served from 6–9pm with delicious cupcakes by Just My Taste. Formal program begins at 7pm. Cocktail attire.
Admission is free. Please RSVP at email@example.com or on our facebook page.
